Put enough plastic wrap over your head to cover the top portion of your head, and tighten the ends and hold tight. After holding the wrap close to your head, use duck tape or heavy-duty tape over the outer perimeter edges to hold the circumference of the to-be-template.
Place 3 to 4 fingers above your eyebrow and mark with a pen. Measure from that point to the back of the bald area, and that will be your measurement from Front to Back.
Now measure from Side to Side of your bald area and that will be your measurement from Side to Side.
Note: If you are using CLIPS as a form of attachment, please add about 1/2" to each Front to Back and Side to Side measurements.

Please put the duck tape or heavy-duty tape over the wrap to keep the contour and shape of your bald area. The tape will lock the plastic wrap into a permanent transparent tape template.
After you have finished these steps, please make sure that the template fits your head exactly without any spaces or bubbles at the top.
Any spaces or bubbles will result in MIS-FITTING of your custom hairpiece.

Using a marker, draw lines on the tape template while it is still on your head. Though requirements vary from person to person, some rules of thumb apply to most. Front hairline should usually be established by placing 3 or 4 of your fingers (depending on your age) above the brow line. Lines are drawn from that point to form a pattern, which covers the bald area. Deeper recessions look most natural.
After the entire outer perimeter of the pattern is drawn, the desired hair direction should be indicated. If a part is desired, draw a line from a pivot point at back crown to the front hairline. Placement of the pivot point should correspond to what can be seen of your original growth.

Please use the marker to indicate the desired hair direction. The hair will be ventilated in the direction you request on your template.
